Isotope Retrieval -   
Description
Under current legislation (IRR 1999) it is a requirement that all companies handling or using radioactive materials, have in place a contingency plan to cover the retrieval and making safe of any source in the highly unlikely event of the source becoming detached, or being displaced from its shielded container.

This course has been designed to help with all aspects of emergency response, from contingency planning through to the actual recovery of the source while observing the principals of "As Low As is Reasonably Practical" (ALARP).

Pre-requisites for attending this course:
    None. It is recommended that personnel working with radioactive sources attend this course.
